Common questions

I got rear-ended on I-225 but the ER cleared me. Why should I still come in?

ERs screen out fractures and bleeds; they don't evaluate soft-tissue cervical injury that shows up 24-72 hours later. Most Aurora whiplash cases we see never went to the ER at all, or went and were told they were fine. Dr. Wallace's exam catches what the ER doesn't look for.

Do I need imaging before my first visit?

No. First visit is the physician exam plus massage therapy. If imaging is indicated, Dr. Wallace orders it through Health Images or Touchstone same day; many WAD I-II cases resolve without any imaging at all.

Can I split visits between Aurora and another CCC clinic?

Yes. Records and treatment plans follow you across all five CCC locations. Aurora patients who live in south-east suburbs sometimes prefer Lakewood for Monday-Wednesday visits, Aurora for Thursdays.
